Hunter Armstrong, the Olympic and four-time world champion swimmer, has a unique story to tell. Having started as a theater performer, Armstrong transitioned to the pool, where he has since become one of the most successful swimmers in the world.

Armstrong's Swimming Success

At the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, Armstrong won a gold medal in the 50-meter freestyle and helped the United States win silver in the 4x100-meter medley relay. He is also a four-time world champion, having won gold in the 50-meter freestyle and silver in the 100-meter freestyle at the 2022 World Championships. Armstrong currently holds the American record in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 21.45 seconds.

Theater to Pool

Before becoming a world-class swimmer, Armstrong was a talented actor and dancer. He performed in several stage productions, including "The Music Man" and "Bye Bye Birdie." However, after a successful high school swimming career, Armstrong decided to leave the theater and focus on swimming full-time.

Future Goals

Armstrong is currently preparing for the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he hopes to defend his Olympic title in the 50-meter freestyle. He is also aiming to break his own American record in the 50-meter freestyle and become the first American man to swim the event in under 21 seconds.
